Usage

Use Item for compact records that need more structure than plain text but do not require tabular comparison. Variants cover flat, outlined, and muted surfaces; sizes adjust density without changing the information model.

asChild lets a complete item become a real link. Use ItemActions for separate controls only when the row itself is not one large link, avoiding nested interactive elements. Group related rows with ItemGroup and use ItemSeparator sparingly.

Accessibility

ItemGroup exposes a list role. When items are links or buttons, preserve those native elements and give icon-only actions an accessible name.
