Menus and actions

Primary, secondary, overflow, and destructive actions in predictable order.

Show the primary action directly. Keep frequent secondary actions visible when space allows, and put lower-frequency commands in a dropdown menu.

Use DropdownMenu for commands and Popover for compound controls such as filters. Menu labels stay on one line, destructive actions appear last after a separator, and disabled actions need a nearby reason.

An icon-only overflow trigger needs a task-specific accessible name. Opening, arrow keys, typeahead, Escape, and focus restoration come from the shared primitive; do not rebuild them in application code.
