Marker

A compact metadata row for contextual details, links, and short notes.

Use a marker for supporting information that belongs beside a primary surface, such as a vehicle reference, due date, or customer note.

Variants

Use the default variant for a quiet metadata row, separator to divide a short row visually, and border when the marker needs to close a section or separate a note from surrounding content.

MarkerIcon reserves a consistent icon slot and is hidden from assistive technology. Put the readable text inside MarkerContent; links remain keyboard accessible and receive the shared underline treatment.

Accessibility

Use a meaningful link label when a marker navigates to a vehicle, customer, or work order. Treat icons as decorative and keep the complete meaning in the content text. Do not use a marker as the only way to expose a required action or status.

Best practices

  • Keep the content to one short piece of supporting information.
  • Choose one variant based on the surrounding structure instead of stacking separators.
  • Use asChild only when the whole marker needs another element's semantics.
