Getting started
Sign in, open your Workshop and prepare the essentials for daily work.
Workshop1 Studio gives each Workshop its own address. After signing in, open a Workshop from the picker to enter its dashboard.
Open your Workshop
- Sign in with your email and password, an emailed code, or Google.
- If the Workshop picker appears, choose the Workshop you want to open.
- Use the Workshop switcher in the header, or in the mobile sidebar, when you need to move to another Workshop.
You can also press Cmd+K on macOS or Ctrl+K on Windows to search for pages, records and another Workshop.
Know the main areas
The sidebar groups daily work into a few clear areas:
- Bookings plans vehicle arrivals and shows the workshop schedule.
- Work Orders tracks the work being carried out.
- Quotes and Invoices handle customer approvals and billing.
- Customers, Vehicles, Products and Suppliers hold your working directories.
- Reporting shows revenue, payments, bookings and customer activity when your role has invoice access.
- Settings holds personal preferences and shared Workshop configuration.
Prepare a new Workshop
The setup flow takes a new Workshop through its identity, working hours and bays, subscription, member invitations, data migration and integrations. If setup is incomplete, opening the Workshop resumes at the outstanding stage.
The six stages are Your workshop, Your workspace, Your plan, Your people, Your data and Your tools. The migration and connection stages can be skipped and completed later.
Before taking the first booking, check these areas in Settings:
- Open General and confirm the Workshop identity, locale and invoice details.
- Open Calendar and set working hours and the default calendar view.
- Open Bays and add the bays used to schedule work.
- Open Pricing and confirm the default price book.
- Invite staff from Members and give each person the role they need.
The dashboard's Get started tour links directly to Open bookings, Review pricing and View invoices.
Personal settings
Your profile and preferences follow you across every Workshop. Under Settings → Account, you can update your profile, choose System, Light or Dark mode, change your time format, manage in-app notifications and update sign-in security.
Workshop settings are shared with every member. Personal account settings apply only to you.
