Integrations

Connect supported services and understand how Workshop1 delivers changes to them.

Integrations connect one Workshop to supported outside services. Open Settings → Integrations to see which apps are available for the current Workshop.

Only Workshop owners can manage connections. An app may appear temporarily unavailable when its service credentials are not enabled for the current Workshop1 environment.

Connect an app

  1. Open Settings → Integrations.
  2. Select an available app.
  3. Follow its connection flow and return to Workshop1.
  4. Review the provider-specific settings shown by Workshop1.

Workshop1 supports connection flows for Xero, Slack and Google Calendar, plus Westpac PayWay merchant settings for invoice checkout. Each provider has its own configuration, so use the fields shown on its detail page rather than copying credentials between apps.

Review delivery history

An integration delivery records an attempt to send one Workshop event to one connected app. Review Recent activity on the connection for its outcome, timestamp, attempt count and any error.

If a delivery failed:

  1. Read the failure shown in Recent activity.
  2. Correct the connection or provider configuration that caused it.
  3. Select Retry when the failed delivery is retryable.

Retries continue the same delivery record so its history remains traceable.

How the supported connections are used

  • Xero synchronises supported accounting records and keeps links between Workshop1 and Xero objects.
  • Slack posts selected Workshop event groups to configured channels.
  • Google Calendar mirrors confirmed Bookings and later lifecycle changes to the selected destination calendar.
  • PayWay enables card payment from an Invoice's scoped checkout link and provides customer, schedule and transaction views.

Availability and configuration are shown on the provider's detail page. Slack provides event routing controls; the other providers show settings specific to their service. A connection belongs to the current Workshop, so switching Workshops changes the connections you are managing.

Custom integrations

For another system, owners can create an API key under Settings → API keys, but Studio does not yet grant those keys access to Integration API resources. See API reference for the current limitation and API boundary.
