Auto shops deserve software
built for the bay floor.
Workshop1 is the modern shop-management platform for Australian workshops — rego lookup, parts ordering, jobs, invoicing, and an AI agent that handles the busywork. Built by mechanics and engineers shipping next to the hoist, not from a boardroom in another time zone.
Australian shops have been the last to get good software.
The local tools stopped shipping. The US tools assume Houston, not Hobart. We’re building the one we’d want if we owned the shop.
Workshop1 was started by mechanics and software engineers who kept running into the same gap. The Australian market is served by incumbents that have barely changed since 2013, and by US-built platforms that don’t know what a rego is, can’t talk to Capricorn, and price like every shop is in California.
Meanwhile shop owners are running million-dollar businesses on tools that look like accounting software from 2008 with a coat of cloud paint. Quoting takes too long. Parts ordering is a tab graveyard. Customers chase status updates by phone. Techs reach for a tablet and hit a login wall.
We think the next decade of shop software gets built somewhere with real workshops, real suppliers, and a real reason to ship every week. Australia is that somewhere. Workshop1 is the platform — jobs, inspections, parts, payments, and an AI agent that quietly handles the admin while your techs do the work.
We’re small, we’re early, and we’re building this in the open with our pilot shops. If you run a workshop, you have a direct line to the people writing the code — that’s the point.

Small enough to ship daily, serious enough to run your shop.
We move like a startup but we treat your data like a bank. Daily releases, immutable audit log, no surprise downtime, no surprise contracts.
AI helps, it doesn’t replace.
The agent drafts estimates, chases approvals, reorders parts — under your rules, with your sign-off. The bay still belongs to your techs.
